Responsible Investing
Platinum Equity’s fundamental responsibility is to deliver strong and consistent financial returns to our investors, and our experience is that responsible investment principles help enhance financial return on investment. Responsible investment considerations are integrated across the firm’s activities including investment due diligence and execution, portfolio company operations and ultimate divestiture of mature investments.
ESG
We believe that proper and relevant consideration of ESG and related issues that fall broadly under the “responsible investing” umbrella contributes to better underwriting, improved portfolio company performance and investment results. We review these issues based not just on current regulatory and legislative frameworks, but also potential future frameworks, and we believe that companies that carefully consider and manage these issues today will be better positioned in the future should regulatory frameworks change.
Our investment underwriting evaluates ESG risks and opportunities and builds them into both the transaction model and post-transaction operations model. As part of our operations playbook, we implement a dedicated toolkit that details and guides our approach.

Platinum Equity supports responsible investing, and acknowledges the importance of evaluating Environmental, Social and Governance (“ESG”) issues in its investments.
