Pre-transaction

Transaction Sourcing

Transaction opportunities are sourced and screened by a dedicated Business Development team. The team casts a wide net to find opportunities that will eventually pass through our specific deal criteria.

M&A&O Analysis

The M&A Operations team is involved in the deal process at the earliest possible point, starting with the management presentation. This allows the firm to understand businesses better, conduct diligence more effectively, and create operational value 'on the buy.'

M&A&O Execution

An integrated M&A&O team creates the value creation plan while a dedicated Capital Markets team works in tandem to build the optimal capital structure.

Transition and Integration

Platinum Equity Portfolio Operations begins executing the plan created during the diligence phase on day one. An operating council, comprised of Platinum Equity and portfolio company leadership, is created to monitor and supervise the company.

Post-transaction

Operations Management

An aggressive approach is applied that typically requires the extended on-site presence of Platinum Equity Portfolio Operations at the portfolio company. The team works closely with management and applies all relevant levers of the operations playbook.

Exit

Once a company completes its transition and the operating council determines the time is right, Platinum Equity's dedicated Sell-Side team works in tandem with the operating council to find monetization opportunities.

Transaction Types

We handle a variety of complex transaction types including:

Diverse Industries

As an industry agnostic firm investing for more than 29 years, we have extensive experience across a wide range of sectors and transaction types.

Real Operators

The 'O' is in our DNA. We have a large in-house team with real-world industry experience. M&A Operations professionals dig in to create value at the earliest stages of diligence, while Portfolio Operations specialists manage transitions and drive ongoing transformation programs. They know how to effect change from the ground up, with hands-on expertise across a broad range of functional areas.

Credit
